Making rebar and #9 supports. Will rusty rebar and new support wire smell enough to make a difference?

No.

And dying would just add another smell to It.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Agree, in most good coyote habitat, around rural farm and ranch areas, coyotes are very familiar with rusty metal scent and do not shy away from it.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.

The rust wont matter. I suppose it's possible your role of wire might be oily though, but that may not hurt you.

It seems wire is way more oily these days so I like to degrease it.I don't mind rusty supports but I have some areas where grass is very light in color,so I like to paint those supports and snares a light tan.I do this months ahead, kust to be safe.

Nope It's pretty stiff.

There was some wire that I needed to anneal It so I could bend It multiple times with out It breaking. I found when I welded It to my support, the wire was compromised and broke off at the weld. I stopped doing that and had 2 holes laser cut to except the wire.
I'm going to have to try and post a pic of my set up.
