Wanna Be OP trapper W Joined: May 2018 Posts: 10,861 SW Georgia	Well I got a call a couple of weeks ago telling me I could start trapping on the plantation due to a break between hunts, 19-29th. Started setting Wednesday evening, hunt ended at noon, and got about 8 sets and as many DP’s set. Spent most all of yesterday checking for sign and setting more traps and an empty check of the previous days sets. Didn’t find but one set of coon tracks and nothing else. Just ended up setting where I’d caught critters last year. This morning I was hoping for at least a possum...got one, plus a coon, and two bobkitty’s! Coon and possum in DP’s and one cat in a dirt hole set Wednesday and the other in a Pipe Dream set placed yesterday. I was happy and the manager was extremely happy. All egg/poults/chick killers! What made it even better was the fact the manager, his son, and nephew rode along while I checked my sets. Especially since he voluntold me I was gonna start trapping the place, lol. Not expecting much tomorrow or the next day. We have rain moving in and supposed to get anywhere from 2-6”. Gonna make for a fun check the next couple of mornings. Supposed to rain from now until Monday morning. Always put in a dirt hole and Zags way of bedding for the pipe dream or scent post sets. Hopefully I’ll only have to remake whatever dirt holes wash out and any catches made. My creek DP’s won’t wash away but will probably get a free cleaning.

Supposed to get a break tomorrow morning for a couple of hours and then be gone by Tuesday morning. Going to try and get whatever needs reset during the break tomorrow. The possum came off a pipe dream set.

Supposed to get some more tonight. Hoping after that it drys out a little. Resetting traps in mud isn’t my specialty. Pipe dream sets rock right now. All my foothold catches have been on pipe dream sets except one dirt hole bobcat.
