It has been in the 50's the last few days and expected to be around that the next few days. Does coyote movement seem to slow down in your area during this time? I always seem to have trouble picking up coyotes during this time the rest of the season, no matter what the weather. What's everyone's go to set, lure or advise during this time. It sure can be frustrating and I'm on good sign. Thanks for any advise.

Yes, for me anyway, a warm spell slows them down. Didn't cut a fresh track all weekend. It's gonna start cooling off again tomorrow, back in business.
Antelope, the original fast food!!

I'm of opinion that I blame it on the fresh feed diet directly after hunting seasons takes awhile and and so I give them what they want . Having snow does show a guy a few things it might be time to move. Pairing up will start soon if not already .

The warm up around here has had them on the move. Dirt holes have been slamming them.
There is no try or try not, only a coyote in the trap or not.

Been slow for me too, sir. Got a ton of coon in dirthole sets and I think I finally have them thinned down. Only three coyotes for me so far and one snared cat. I re baited and added fresh pee this morning to all my sets on 5 farms. Hoping for fun Christmas check tomorrow. It's been so mild and dry at least freeze thaw hasn't been an issue lately. Was earlier in the month but not this week. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
