I fleshed and boarded a bobcat last night, by lunch today it was already too dry to turn. I'm now working in a heated shop and the difference in drying time really fooled me on this one. This one is going to go to the tannery, and will be a wall hanger. Does it matter that it is turned flesh side out? If I really needed to turn it, what would be the best way to do so?

Leave it. They can tan it just fine that way.

When the pelt gets to dry just re-hydrate with a damp towel 10-15 minutes and you should have little problem turning. Don't worry about putting the re-hydrated pelt back on the board fur out. The re-hydrated skin dries very well and quickly, unlike a green skin against wood.

The only constant in trapping is change so keep learning.
