Makes your rifle look like a toothpick, nice coon!

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I always like the old trees. The sights they have seen.

I remember hunting in hemlock swamps which were so dark in the middle of the day, you needed a flashlight to see.

A lot of the hemlock was cut down in the 1800's for the tanbark.
The Muskoka area of Ontario, specifically Bracebridge and Huntsville were the sites of large leather tannerys back in the 1800's because of the abundance of hemlock.

Hey scuba, could I get some scions off of your cartridge tree? I'm a good grafter.

I have a stand of Hemlocks in the "yard"....nice picture man.

The majesty of an ancient tree like that always draws my attention. That's a beauty right there.

I know of quite a few spots around here where there are oaks, among others, that are just as impressive.

FYI: at least one species of medicinal mushrooms, Ganoderma tsugae, also grows on hemlocks.

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Best Regards,

JT
