Made some summer sausage last year that didn’t turn out very good. The place we got our seasonings from screwed up our orders. Brats turned out like a spicy polish sausage and it seems we were shorted on cure for the summer sausage. It’ll only keep a little over a week in the fridge. It’s edible but not enjoyable. So instead of throwing the remaining 6lbs of it away. Is it worth chopping up and using for bait to use for coons or yotes?

I have used similar for catfish with some success. Let it set out to dry, it won't spoil so quick.

Summer sausage would catch me I assure you.
Bait down a hole guarded by a trap is a time tested method, I say go try it. The critters are the experts after all

I'd definitely try it out but I'm not a great trapper so I could be wring.
