On December 8th I wrecked my 2012 Silverado.i hit a tree. While it isnt totalled it suffered significant superficial damage.

I drove Jerrys old Nissan for a couple weeks but Jerry didnt feel it was safe or dependable and we all couldn't go anywhere together in either of the Nissan Frontiers he owns.

On. December 19th Jerry bought me a 2019 Silverado. (Thank You, Jerry.. more than I can ever say)

Its a great truck but I don't know how to operate some of the things on the truck.

The truck comes with Wi-Fi..... A hot spot..... and it says im connected to the hot spot (password has been put in) but I can not get online. It says I have no internet connection but my phone says im online.

Does anyone know what Im doing wrong?

Sounds like the WiFi modem in the truck is on but is not connected to the net which means that while you can connect to the modem ( your connected) there is no connection to the internet itself

You will need to go into the WiFi in the truck and connect it to the internet so when you connect to it you can access the net

Did you have the wifi turned on for the truck? It is a monthly service that you are charged for, just like internet service, not included when you buy the truck.

That said, if you have already had that activated, then I don’t know.

Just an add on but if the WiFi on your phone is bad or inaccessible then it most likely will also be for your truck at least that’s how it has been for friends of mine that have it

You need to take it to the local Chevy dealer and they'll show you whatever you need to know. Don't waste your time trying to figure it out yourself, a truck that new is under warranty and there's no reason you should have to struggle with it. If it's broke, the service department will fix it, but if you're just having trouble trying to figure out how to set it up, then a salesman will probably help you since they should know how to use the system.

You have to have two bars of AT&T signal for the Chevy WiFi to work. Does your truck have a sliding rear window by chance? I bought a 2019 on Halloween and the trick apparently was on me. My Crew Cab LTZ was probably leaking from the window corners on the lot. It has had attempted repairs twice, the headliner is stained, and now it appears the window and headliner are on some sort of national backorder that some people online are saying GM is putting a hold on shipping instead of back ordered. The problem seems to be with just the sliding rear windows not the solid windows. If you have a sliding rear window watch the corners where the slide track is. That’s where they have all shown the leaks you can also shine a flashlight on the corners and see the water marks from the water running down the window.

They put way to much extra gear in vehicles these days. I bought a newer used Chrysler Pacifica and it is full of gadgets and gizmos I'll probably never use. It has different climate zones, a backing camera, seat and mirror memory for multiple drivers, 3 CD/DVD players, a tv, crazy little storage hidey holes and a bunch of other not very useful stuff. I do like the heated leather seats.

The built in gps found I was a using an old Garmin, that was already programed , somehow and started giving me directions. That really surprised me.
