I've been using this lamp for several months for work. Very impressed with the area of light and brightness. I can run it almost 10 hours on low (not the super low). I've got the Spec 1 option. Acebeam

I have a fenix hp15 that works well for the price it has lasted about 5 years powered by 4 AAs (black sanyo eneloops last the best in the cold)
Aso have a lupine neo. I really like it, lithium ion packs are expensive, but last longer in the cold. Also the wiring is cold rated to -40F, if that's a factor for you I hit that and colder more often than I'd like on my lines. Had it for 2.5 years and it's going strong. Wife stole it this year tho, so I may have to upgrade...
Learning how this is done, one set at a time.

I use the same one Hutchy uses. I use mine everyday and love it. On my second one now, the first lasted me a few years before I broke it. They are the real deal. I was looking at the website the other day and it appears they are making them with replaceable rechargeable battery packs now? The only thing I don't like about mine is that when it dies, say on an extended trip, you can't recharge it. Another battery would be amazing.

I have a Coast HL8R Uses 4AA batteries. Lasts along time and is very bright on high setting. Has high & low beam settings to conserve juice. If you are worried about making a fashion statement or carrying a few ounces more on your head this is not the light for you. But if you want a well made, heavy duty, long lasting head lamp, I'd definitely check this one out. https://coastportland.com/products/hl8r
