I sew holes up with waxed dental floss for fur I'm hone tanning, but after soaks and breaking the hides the stiches always come undone. I've tried double and triple knotting with no luck. Is it the knots or the floss ? Better options ? -Thanks

I use upholstery thread. The knots wont come loose.
Sewn holes will often open up somewhat during the tanning process regardless of what you sew them with.
I always re-sew damage repairs after tanning.

Another idea is to singe the dental floss with a lighter or match that may help ?
