With the temperature being as warm as it is and already having beaver sets out, I decided to put out mink muskrat sets too. Instead of making pocket set or trying to find bank holes i just made bottom edge sets (first time) and was amazed at the results. I got about a dozen of the stabilizers on Christmas with the handle. So simple to do and don't need waders on or gauntlet gloves everything can be made off the bank. And super productive, especially on points. I wish I did these sets all along.

Ken Smith had to be in amazement when he started these. Probably someone else did too, but never shared. Even a mutton head like me can catch mink that way.

Bottom edge 330's are the most enjoyable and rewarding water sets I make.

I learned the bottom edge rat/mink set a few years ago at Muskrat's demo in Wi. As effective & easy a set as it is, it may be the most valuable trapping info I've ever learned.

No. I didn't take any pics. But you can Google it and get the stabilizers. I use 110 conibears. Very easy to do. And very effective

I had issues w/ 110 stabilizers spinning so I had a large washer welded to the stake on some, and on others I had a short metal vertical rod welded instead, so they poke in the ground in 2 spots. I assume those are the stabilizers plains is using. You can buy them from Volker's with the 2 stakes on the bottom.

Ya but I bought them from a different outlet. Same thing though. I think mine just has one stake that supports the stabilizer. Haven't had any issues with them moving yet. If they do I will rig as you did.
