I have a hard time ever pulling disposable stakes up, I don’t know if it’s my ground or I’m over zealous and drive them in to far. I usually drive them 12+ inches in. Anyone else have that problem?

I guess that could be considered a good problem.

My stakes are not coming out of the ground until spring at least. They are frozen in. Being planned as disposable anyone I am able to get back is a treat but right now only my water line anchor come out.

I do realize they are disposable, but I also know that if they are fixed to the trap I have the same problem. Being why I haven’t invested in super stakes and such. That said, even though they are “disposable” they come with a cost. We don’t have $15 coon and $80 yotes to off set the price of stakes every year. Just looking for tips.
As for pulling them, we don’t really have frozen ground here in Arkansas, but I have broken 3/32 cable trying to pull them. I’ll try to drive a driver around some and see how they pull up then. Thanks for the info.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I'd buy a puller if I was you, Alex. It's a good investment. Get the rounded 1 as it works better than the straight 1. Secondly, there is nothing to be ashamed of with your removing your so called "disposable" anchors. You can get a lot of uses out of them, you can save $ by reusing them, & you aren't wasting a resource or leaving 'trash' behind.
Good luck. You will like how easy the puller works. Be a little careful though b/c I was pulling too hard once & went flying on my rear, but I think that was in winter conditions up here.
