How can i stop the slippage of coyotes ears? Got 11 that the cartilage is still in and they are slipping. I had someone put them up for me.

Next time take a minute to run your thumb up the back of the ear to separate the back skin.They will never rot.

So just separate the skin from the cartilage on the back of the ear? What about the front?

Take a pair of scissors and cut them long ways down the middle. or just cut them off all together.

Option two is grab the cartilage with a pair of pliers and peel the two halves of the ear apart. the cartilage will stay attached to the front/inside of the ear.

You only have to separate the back,It will dry fine.Turn the ear back when you turn the pelt.
