So I messed up... my coyote skins got way to dry and I don't know if I can flip them anymore. To dry, as in, they are dry. Is there any way to flip them now? Can I rehydrate them slightly, or even start over without the fur slipping?

Thanks

You can wrap em in a moist beach towels or use a spray bottle, you just want it to relax a bit, you don't need to soak it.

The head will be the worse part. You might have to soak that part.

That's what I'm thinking. Do you just use warm water?

In a wet towel, not in a bucket of water.

I turn mine when the leather is dry to the touch but still flexible. I have torn to many fox by leaving them a bit to long.

I don’t know what your snow is like there but if I get one too dry I put it in the snow overnight and in the morning it’s just damp enough when it warms up to turn.

Until you send them off and get them tanned and the sides contacting the wires are slipped.

Yep,thats the kind of chit that causes the buyers to lose confidence in the entire wild fur collection and bid down accordingly.
