Anyone use the freedom brand stake puller? Good/bad?? I bent my homemade pipe puller and thinking of breaking down and buying one. I am pulling wolf fangs. I know they are disposable but don't like leaving things behind. I’m wanting to buy once, cry once

The one with a long pipe handle that works like a crow bar is nice. Fellow around here was making them for $20. Heavy. Save on stakes, I use the heavy fox hollow kind. Don't really see how he made m that cheap.

I bought a 1 inch EMT bender at a garage sale for 2 bucks and adapted it. Works the same as the one pictured on fnt post. All you have to do is put a notch in front for a stake. Pull stakes one day, bend conduit the next. Lol.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I bought one last Spring and have put one season in on it. Works as advertised.

I have one from FNT also. Had it two years. Works well for me. Have had no issues.

I have one of those as linked above and love it. So much easier pulling rebar stakes.

Works ok on super stakes also which I am getting away from.

I have the “heavy duty” one from FnT. It’s plenty good for pulling disposables

The rounded feature of this F&T puller is a major advantage.

Buy a spud bar. lay It flat on the ground make 2 wraps around the bar with the trap chain hold the trap In one hand and reef up on the bar with the other hand. Lower the bar choke up on the trap and reef again.

I looked up spud bar I might be calling It something that It Isn't Looks like a spud bar Is a ice chisel.

I'm talking about a 5' piece of steel most of It's round and one end Is squared off for about 10" and the end Is kind of tapered off at a angle. I think they may be used for starting holes when putting In T posts. I have one and I picked It up at a farm auction.

This guy came from jefferson county indiana. Even had a coyote howling cut out real then on the bottom of it. I'll talk to my trappin buddy tomorrow and get the lowdown. My buddy had a shop and got four. He kept one, sold me one, and it didn't take long to get rid of the other 2. Looks just like a FB. Be back tomorrow evening. The long pipe, I think, would cost the most. You could also take a picture to a machinist and d re what he would charge you.

The only issue that I have had with the FB puller and disposables is if the top portion of the ground is soft you don't get the hard leverage because it keeps sinking into the ground

I'm not sure on the cable stakes, but it works great on rebar stakes

See if you can find a piece of wood, rock, shovel, etc. and set the puller on top of it. Push down in such a way to make to make the object go down in mud as opposed to the puller.
