Cleaning off foothold sets won't be fun but is part of the challenge we all deal with. Maybe the storm will alter their movement & patterns. Last edited by AJE; 01/16/20 12:47 PM.

Taximan trapper Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 5,459 Montana	They usually will lay up during the storm.I usually don't see tracks till after the following night.If you get the snow cleared off,right after the storm,you should be golden.The first clear night should be a great night for movement.Make sure after clearing the traps themselves,that you make huge kick backs to throw topsoil,leaves etc.,all over the snow.This can be seen from quite a distance and is very attractive to cats.Good luck.

All I know is it's snowing now and I plan to head out first thing in the morning looking for tracks. I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

I have more seen bobcats very active just before the snow storms,then laid up up during the storm then active again after the storms at least here in northern Maine anyways.Lynx I have no idea.
