I like that critter carrying rack you have on your truck. Seems like a good idea.

The streak continues. Caught the coon in set I caught a coon in two days ago. And caught the coyote in a dirthole set I expected a catch the first night. About thought I’d out thought myself on where I put it.
We have rain coming, so all remakes became pipe sets with one of my trusty logs as backing.
Found another spot South of where I’ve been setting that’s loaded with coyote, fox, and cat tracks. A high fence area across the road ends and there’s a planted road through my buddies property that screams set me!! [Linked Image]

Wow what a spot eh? Beautiful! Good job man!

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

Well, didn’t get skunked this morning. Another fox at the T. We were forecasted to get quite a bit of rain last night and all day today...roads were hardly wet. But, it was a lot warmer than it has been over the last several days. Supposed to clear off this afternoon and turn back cooler.
Gonna hit this place for one more week then take a short break before plantation trapping starts. [Linked Image]

Week 1 ends with another fox and a coon.
Been a real good week on this small never before trapped piece of ground.
5 fox
5 coons
3 coyotes
1 bobcat

Fox was in the remake where I caught the bobcat.
The coon came off the remake where I caught the 2nd coyote. Right across from the set from where I caught the fox yesterday morning.

Beautiful. I'm kinda partial to the grey's myself since it was the first fox I caught as a kid.

I’ve caught more this year than in the last 2 combined. Even on places I’ve never caught them before. Any reds will be released and just not documented, lol.
The place I’m trapping now hasn’t ever been trapped and none of the land around for a mile either direction is trapped. I have more offers to trap now than I have time or traps. Landowners talk I guess. Virgin property rocks!!

A very good set of "problems" to have indeed. Not enough traps, not enough time, an absolutely no competition at all. Next thing you know they'll just get into your truck when you pull up.... grin

So it continues...
Caught the possum on some new sets on the other side of the creek from where I’ve been trapping. He checked out a Pipe Dream set with some Cavins bait.
Caught the coyote in a set I put next to the catch circle of where I’d previously caught the fox/coyote/fox...he fell for a halfway opened can of sardines shoved down a hole.
Caught the coon in the same set I’ve caught 2 others, lol. It was also a Pipe Dream set with Reuwsaats bait.
And the cat was in a set I put next to the coyote/coon catch circle yesterday. She fell for dove remains shoved down the hole.
All sets get a shot of either coyote urine or coyote pro shot...Reuwsaats.
