kytrapper OP trapper K Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 2,882 SE Kentucky	When making a bait are there any disadvantages in grinding in the fat along with the meat or is pure red meat better? I use trimming fresh and they’re good. Just wondering how others do it

I've tried preserving the meat and fat with sodium benzoate, but the fat inhibits the SB effectiveness.Better to freeze it and thaw it as you need it. Most everything will come into beaver meat. I've caught feral (@#& and coon with it along with opossums, fox, skunks and coyotes. OSTA Lanums ADC & Repair We don't do bugs
