The bottle of salmon oil I bought has froze nearly solid. Is that common?

All fish oil will get very viscous to hard if not kept somewhat insulated from extreme cold. Particularly commercially sold fish pressed oils. Adding some mineral oil to your fish oil will help in keeping the oil workable under cold exposure conditions. Keeping it in your vehicle or in a coat pocket will help insulate the oil as well enough for use daily.
