What was the first year of production for the number 2 square jaw Victor double coil spring trap?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

1940 or 1941. In 1939 it was a round jaw and in 1941 the #2 was a square jaw. I did not find a reference for 1940.

1940 was still the rounded jaw with the springs under the levers

A friend sent me this from the 1940 ATC dealer price catalog. No mention of the square jaw was in this catalog.

Snakecollector, interesting that the single jaw construction was very different in 1941 BUT they used the same description for the double jaw as they had previously. Does your 1942 ad show a square jaw 22 with outside coils and has the description been rewritten? Or did that occur even later?

This is from 1945. I’m not sure I ever saw a #22 in a square jaw with outside coils

I have a couple #22 square jaw with outside springs. I don't know when they were made.

I am not sure if there is a catalog between 1941 and 1945.
