Got the girlfriend one for Christmas. I do think it fits my hand better than the roughrider. Check out Alta Mont they make a lot of nice grips.

Yes sir. Got one from my boys for Christmas and it’s racking up the kills. Easy to handle and real real accurate. The perfect trapping gun in my opinion.

Oh my, those look real good Gus. What material is the last set of grips made of?

I have been wanting the burnt bronze one since they listed them on rugers website. you cant beat the price. I would love to have a smith wheel gun and will someday but not anytime soon.

captgus did you buy all 3 models and mix and match the parts cause that looks super awesome.

Prettier than my single six that was new in 1970 but probably doesn't have any stories and probably cost more .

I've been looking into them myself. I was at Brownells last week and they had them for $179.99. Probably should have bought one, but part of me wants to buy once, cry once and get a single-six or ten. I currently am using a buckmark and like to carry it on an empty chamber. It is a pain. If I was a good trapper it would really be a pain, but "luckily" I'm not there yet. Cycle to load, shoot, drop mag, cycle to empty chamber, put round back in mag, reinsert mag, holster........a pain.

Here’s mine that I got last night. It’s a Heritage Rough Rider.

TrappermanBlake, I've had a Rough Rider for several years and really enjoy it. Word of caution, the ejector rod and the ejector rod housing are held on by a screw. I've lost 2 in the field. Use some locktite on that screw. I still have and use my Rough Rider, but love my new Ruger Wrangler!

It's a good point.Loctite on the ejector rod housing is a good idea if the factory didn't already do it.It is even more important on heavy kicking revolvers.Good tip.

You’re thinking of a Blackhawk. 3-screw (AKA Old Model), Flatgate and Tri-Color all apply to the Single Six but I don’t recall Flat Top being a descriptor applied to anything but the Blackhawk.

I guess my wife got tired of hearing me cuss my Heritage... She bought me a Taurus Tracker for my birthday. Nothing fancy, flat black with rubber grips. But the 9 shot cylinder tips out the side so loading/unloading isn't the chore it was with the Rough Rider.

Can be fired single or double action... And of course a magnum cylinder to boot.

I'm all set for the trapline if I ever manage to run one again.
