It's not the truck It's how you drive It. LOL
Do you have chains? That's what got Robert around for the most part. And He has another fuel tank In the truck bed which gives him added weight which gives you more rear end traction. Then If you put 15 or so coyotes In the truck your good to go. LOL

I'm sure my 1/2 chevy could handle Robert's Kansas traplines. My guess is he runs the one ton truck because he pulls a big cattle trailer loaded with living quarters, bait, traps, freezers, etc...…..

Photo fresh from the LINE. Looks like it is drying out a little. The unofficial count at this time is 891. Mr. Beav should have the official numbers later today.

I think Robert uses the same drill as this one. He modifies his augers so that they hold up for many many holes.

Don't go cheap with the drill. I have used this one for four years. The first one I bought was a 2607-20 and I burnt it out in two days.

Not like in the NE where I'm at. It is sandy in places and gumbo in others, down there. A couple days of wind down there, and while it isn't dry, you are back to getting around good. Here where i'm at, across the state, it is all gumbo, and once wet in the winter, seldom dries out from that point till late spring! Have a good friend there, and I call it the banana belt of Ks! lol. Go Robert!

Thanks EB. Was kinda leaning toward a milwaukee fuel. Thinking its number was 28 something but might be wrong.

"Milwaukee 2804-20 has more improvements that give it an upper hand when handling tougher loads. It peaks in at a higher torque able to handle tough surfaces especially treated concrete better than 2704-20. "

I also found this.

A six foot box works for me. Robert gets by with about a six foot box when you take away the 2 feet or so occupied by the tool box.

update: 11 today that puts the total count at 893. With any luck at all he should hit the 900 mark tomorrow.

I asked how long does It take to put up those coyotes. He said he can do 25 a day that's fleshing boarding and turning.

I bought a 2712-20 M18 Fuel SDS Rotary Hammer Drill for working in frozen ground. I have a chisel bit for making trap beds, masonry bit for predrilling for earth anchors, and a ground rod driver for driving the anchors. Also have a couple of bits for selling dirtholes. Been a lifesaver in the winter.
