Does anyone have pics or description of slide setups for fox and coyote using chain or cable. I read somewhere on a post that slide rods can also be used to hide canines in culverts tubes in open fields any pics, information, or advise would be great.

I use drowning cables(1/8"). I use a double stake swivel on the end the critter ends up at. You can single stake the end were you bed the trap. Search the forum for drowning cables or rods for pics

i snare roads a lot hear, like single track busy roads but snare about 2 ft from the road, its a bit risky but so far has always worked. same near footpaths.

just a looped and on 10ft of slide wire and a lock.. (micro lock in my case) then as small a snare as i can get away with... then the far end is staked with a kill stake pref near some entanglement down the bank/out of sight.
foot traps will likely work aswell just with no kill stake eh.

I don't think a one-way slide lock is necessary. Just loop your chain around the slider. If the slider goes some place hidden, that's where the animal will be. A little ol' slide lock and a jumping coyote will have that broke apart way too often for my liking
