I just bought some used number 9’s and I was wondering if you would wax and dyes these traps ? I seen some that had white traps , paint or something else ? The trapper that I bought them from just used them rusty but I wax and dye all my other canine traps but never really trapped wolves so I’m learning .

I find footholds, snares and bodygrips perform best when waxed.
Don't do any trigger fine tuning until after waxing.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

My suggestion is scroll through JR'S posts and he goes into detail on how he treats his wolf traps I've seen it but I can't remember what page it's on sorry about that. Not that his is the only way to treat wolf traps but he does a great job of consistently catching wolves so there must be something to it.
I look forward to seeing your trapped wolves .
Allan
