When add asafoetida to bait which one is best the powder or tincture? Add how much do you add to a gallon of bait?

Tincture. There is no set in stone amount. It depends on who you get the tincture from. Not everybody sells the same strength. Another thing to keep in mind is that the smell grows. If you keep adding it till you can just smell it, in 3-4 days it will be overpowering. Pick one source from somebody actually doing the tincturing themselves, Dobbins, Jameson, or do it yourself, so you get a constant strength. Then you will need to do testing. It is the only way. Your own testing. There are no short cuts

A strong tincture liquid will give you better distribution potential into a bait or lure formula. The powder form is not quite as strong and will take much more to achieve the same representation.

Of course you need to use what you have access too.

I bet Paul Dobbins is good as well. Honestly, I would buy the gum and tincture your own.

Dobbins carries pure gum. Bob might sell it in its raw form too.

If you tincture your own you know the exact concentration which is important when trying to duplicate your Lures from year to year.
