I’m looking at expanding the damage control line this year. Wanting a magnum trap and I’m seeing the swivel and flat safeties on them and wondering if they’re worth it . I have a bridger 155 and hate it. Metal is too thin and spring eyes are too small making it a royal pain to set. The one mink I caught in it bent the jaw on it. Are the 330s any more rugged or are they still thinner then say a belisle or duke. Normally these are my 2 choices of 330s ,dukes for high theft area and belisles for the private spots. I’ve done a basic search and seen mixed reviews of them but I’d rather lose a bridger then a belisle . Just wanting some help before I drop the money on them . Thanks in advanced

I like my bridger 330 magnums with 2 exceptions. The spring eyes are too small, and the flat safety’s are a pain to deal with. Sometimes they will get stuck, and I have to toy with the trap for a minute to get them off. Other than that, I think they are pretty good traps.

My son bought a dozen Bridger 120's last year, (against my advice), and hates them. Spring eyes too small, and even had issues with the eyes getting hung up on the jaw swivel points.
Belisle for me, and him too, now.

Just doing what I want now.

I have learned to deal with both of these things and actually like the RK safety.

I have a few magnum Bridger 330's, but I would sooner run over them with my truck to destroy them before I would give then to even my worst enemy.
The springs are too strong, making setting them a bear.
The springs wrap around the corners, making it nearly impossible to bring them back around to get the trap setters on them.
I see absolutely no need for magnum springs on a 330.

I have 2 Bridgers mixed in with my Belisles.... I like em. They pound em just like the others. I have not had issues with em and I like the safeties.

I like bridger traps but I’m not a fan of their magnum 330’s. If cross staking them a guy needs to use rebar or find the perfect stick because the gap in the jaws is tiny. Then if using stands (I use MTP’s) you can’t put the dog on the bottom because it won’t clear the spacer bar. They’re sweet because it’s magnum trap at a great price but I like my duke and belisles a little better because they seem more versatile. No thinking, just set em and go.

I love mine. I've caught 5 or 6 by the tail in them so far this year

I just started running a few Bridger 330's and I really like them. The safeties are a little stiff but I can deal with that. I think they are a very strong trap. I just got a few more for the spring.

The safeties don't come off like the dukes, but the get stuck quite often.
