I am relatively green as a trapper; this is my third season of setting for coyotes mainly. I can't tell you exactly how many I have caught, but in the ball park of 50, mainly my first year and this season. This morning as I came up on a trapped coyote something about it seemed different. When I got to looking closer I realized it had two feet in the trap, both the front and back foot on its left side were in my MB 650. I have caught both front feet a couple times so far, but never a front and back together. I am sure more experienced trappers than I have seen this, but how often does it occur?

Cool catch. Ive caught many by both front feet and one by both back feet. But never both feet on one side. Cool.

I'm itchin' to see a coyote twitchin'.

More trappin' and less yappin'.

I took a picture; if I can figure out how to do it I'll post it.

I caught a red like that this year. It seems more likely to catch a fox like that than a coyote though.

I wonder if it was sitting when the trap went off once the front foot put enough pressure on the pan. That would put the back foot close enough to the front foot to get caught that way.
