I thought I would share this experience I had a few days ago. I was checking out a creek and came aroundd the corner and saw these characters coming out from a bank den just behind where they are at. You will be able to see the travel point and hole in the bank. They seen me and went back and forth a few time in the den then back out to eventually start digging a hole in the thin ice. I was about 10 to 12 feet from them and didn't even think about video them till about half way through. Thought it was something a guy wouldn't see everyday. I have been close to them many times before but found this time very interesting. https://drive.google.com/file/d/14SmSIGRFoNC777K_H9-Og1SUCR7XjtK-/view?usp=sharing

They picked a bad spot to hole up for the winter. They could use a few more feet of water depth. Neat video.

Thanks for sharing. I've seen a few dry bank dens along a river in the NC mountains.

These small creek beds have been roaring and plum full for better then a month now. So now it cools down and melt slows up equals less watah. I watching a pair of Goldens in the area so will keep my eye on this pair of beavah.

I walked in yesterday and checked on the eagles nesting spot and checked the beavah den. I t looks like they are still holdup in a bank den and can see where they have been active in tree and under growth eating. I will get some more footage if I can next week or so.

Are you letting them be for seed stock? Ive done that a time or two dozen........ Seeing a big healthy beaver pond grow out of a stream is fun, as long as there are feed trees you dont mind losing.
