Old railroad bed, no rails, all grown up. Bordered by ditches and ponds. Runs east to west. Here's the question: would the area along the railroad bed be good to leave traps/snares set for 8 weeks strait? Thanks

you will maybe need permission from land owners. i used to trap one here. produced a lot of fur. i drove on it about 20 miles. its been turned into a public hiking and bicycling trail now so i cant drive on it. to many dog walkers use it now to drive in from field approaches and set those edges.

Looks fairly secluded. Should produce well. What kind of check laws do y’all have? Once a day

Reason, I threw this out there cuz i read where a guy left traps out for 10 weeks(2 week break in between) and managed 41 coyotes and few cats off of 640 acres. Those RR beds are usually good travel ways, hence my pondering of leaving traps there a while

Heck as long as your catching them then leave them. I’ll trap a place until I go 3-4 days without a catch and pick up and move to a different property. I give every property at least 3 weeks. New properties take a few days to learn.

Yeah for sure , also set the culverts and bridges. Got some areas just like that and they produce every year.
Let me sugar coat this
