Sometimes "urine" will get clear like water after it sits awhile too. Toss that stuff . Sometimes you see stuff for sale that is yellow. Also junk. If there is white sediment in the bottom of the jar that is supposed to be there. just shake it up when you apply a squirt. A real good test is a male dog. Give a tire or clump of grass a squirt when a male dog is there. It should start sniffing then pee on it.

good pee won't go bad. i like to store it in glass

I have yet to find a supplier of fox urine that smells anything remotely like the local red fox in my area. I collect my own during the winter by scooping fresh red fox pee off the snow. The odor is intense and nothing like store bought. I know it sounds tedious to collect it that way but a tiny bit goes a long way. It just takes a couple of drops from an eye dropper and the response from RF and coyotes is definitively positive.
I'm just a hobby trapper so I don't need quarts of it. Anyone who lives in snow country knows how strong the smell is when they see the yellow urine where fox deposited it.

I would have never thought to collect urine that way, kinda cool really!

no idea ditto. never seen a dog roll in pee.

most of the fox urine sold to trappers is from fur farms.

I collected peed on spots in the snow from red fox for many years, i could smell it many times as I walked or rode my ATV to check traps. Like stated it is a remarkably noticeable fox odor.

If you get any where near it down wind you will pick up the smell. It doesnt take much for a set of that material. It doesnt get any better. If you could replicate that odor it would surely be a sold out item each year if you had it for sale.
