The first one is a #4 Hawley & Norton, made around 1905-1910. the second ia a #3 Newhouse, with split jaw posts, made around WW1, 1917-1919. Both traps made by Oneida Community.

Would NH #3 have springs stamped during that time period? Just curious.

Yes, Newhouse traps were made by Oneida Community until Feb. 1925, when they sold out their trap business to Animal Trap Company. Animal Trap Company stopped stamping the springs on Newhouse traps when they took over production. However, A.T.C. did continue to stamp the pans of Newhouse traps with the Oneida Community name into the 1930's.

I have a number 4 Newhouse. I picked up for $30. Has Animal Trap Company on it. 1926-1930's? Not sure how old it is. Turned it into a wall hanger. Looks nice on my cedar plaque

I believe Animal Trap Company made Newhouse traps up until the early 1980s. Or some where around that time period.
