Thanks Mark. I put the pic in with the 4 catch circles straight down the center of the road in there for you. Learned a lot of new tricks at last years academy. Good luck to you and the guys at this years.

That is a pretty sight!
And pretty site too!
Gotta love those middle of the road sets...
You know I love them.

Thanks for the kind words. The 2020 Academy starts March 8th.
In fact, I'm almost full for 2021 and I haven't really announced it yet. Names on the list are piling up. Words out.
This year is year 6 and every one has been pretty special.

Blessings,
Mark

Digging dude’s. Kinda ironic that I trap them because they did holes in my well roads and dang near bounce me out of the cab when I’m not paying attention, and then have to drive a Cat loader 5 miles to smooth the road up after I catch one

Pawnee,

Ms. Donna and I are headed your way in 10 days. Does the wind still blow up there? You know I'm getting soft trapping down here in my T-shirt many months of the year.

Blessings friend.
Mark

It was 50 mph tonight and the phone was sending out warnings every five minutes about a snow squall line. Never heard that one. I hope the weather is good for you guys. Good luck to you and the guys at the academy!!!

Thanks Eric. The badgers get really nice about the time season closes. I’ve always got compliments on my put up, but feel like I could do better. Maybe need to make a post about them and see if one of the badger pro’s would post a tutorial.

Good looking fur Pawnee ! I too like the middle of the road when I can . Do you use the same trap in the edge of the catch circle , or are you using a fresh trap every time ?

I use the same trap. Works for me but I've often wondered if i could increase my catches by setting clean steel. I have always contended that setting so close to the trap circle that it mask anything on the trap. I think I read a post by Law Dog some time ago and he stated that he used clean traps on resets, but can't remember for sure. Could have been someone else.

I will use the same trap as long as I reset within the same circle. Most times in the same bed but will move to the edge like you did to avoid having to fix the road. I don’t go to a fresh trap until I see avoidance, then I go just outside the catch circle if that makes sense. Always curious as to what others do , especially when it’s obvious that it works .
