Is it away to keep peanut oil from gel up in cold.
Its turns white like a thick lard.
Is it's away's to keep it from doing that.

You can use a different oil like olive.

I don’t mind the gelling. I put it in a 4 oz squeeze bottle and it comes out like toothpaste when cold.

Using pure skunk essence in oil don't like geling up.
Will olive oil hold skunk essence smell too like peanut oil.
But want gel up.

Mine is mixed 50/50 skunk and oil and it doesn't get thick

So it will thicken in peanut oil container
But wants I added essence to it
It doesn't thicken or gel up anymore then.

I believe that's the case with mine. Or other than adding more essence to it when I catch a skunk i don't handle it much in the winter but I don th ever remember it gelling up.

If you don't want it to gel up add a little glycol or glycerin. Or keep it inside until your ready to use it. Yes sir, are you using it as an LDC or right at the hole? 50/50 seems like it would still be pretty stout. I use a weaker ratio when I mix essence to peanut oil that I'm going to use for bait. Lures I just use straight, but only tiny amounts at a time until I get the desired level.

I use it in lure formulation.

I find 1 oz. of good clean quill and 15 oz. of peanut oil is plenty strong... and I use it as an "away from the set" call lure... doesn't take much for canines to pick it up. I use 1" pieces of dollar store sponge preloaded at home eliminating any gelling problems...
