I am sure many of us have furs hanging on our walls, good memories smile I have a few that have been hanging for quit a few years, some home tanned, some professionally tanned, how would you go about cleaning them without them falling apart or slipping? Looking and open to suggestions.

Order some saw dust from a taxidermy supply house. Rub it into the fur and shake or vacuum out.
I tried to go on the cheap one time and get some hardwood saw dust at a local cabinet shop; Don't do it! That "dust' was essentially micro corkscrews that got stuck in the fur and would not come out.
Dampen a small area on the skin and see if it will pull apart from "acid rot". Hopefully the skins were tanned correctly and the acid was sufficiently neutralized.
