So when do moose shed there antlers I have already found one shed this year and have seen that HFT_AK has found a couple and a few others but tonight I seen 3 small bulls still with there antlers. So is there any regularity to this or does it just happen throughout the winter?
Here are the three I have found since I've moved up here. One spring one summer and one this winter.

The bigger bull Moose will start dropping antlers in end of November early December. Usually the bigger bulls first and I've seen little mulligans hold their antlers well into March early April. Last week I saw a 50 inches still carrying both antlers. I've seen caribou bulls start dropping the last week of October in the Brooks Range while hunting them.

It always seems that when it gets in the -10 -20 zone down here is when they start to drop. I have not seen a pattern and all you can do is look or get lucky and run into one I find a lot of sheds out where I moose hunt but the dang porkies always seem to get to them before I do.
