Wow, incredible. I'm jealous. Running all or mostly Ram power snares I'm assuming?

Pulled the last of the snares today. I feel sad. Whacked another 16 but 2 were bad. This put me at the season total for 571 coyotes. One was rubbed the worst I have ever seen and the other had no fur down its back from mites or lice
Here is a pic of a triple in the picture frame. Caught 6 at this bait today and 36 for the year.

Here is one that was really badly rubbed. No guard hair on it.

Some of you had questions of what I use for snares. I make my them for myself and a few people. It's easy and passes the summer by before trapping season. I like the Senneker system. Magnum spring with trigger and a good toothed camlock. I use fish tank blue tubing for my whammy about an inch long and it fits on my 11 guage snare support wire nice and snug. I use 1/16th 1x19 cable and a single 10 foot length. I like one piece length. It saves me a lot of time setting it up and I only pay about 3 cents a foot for cable when I buy it in bulk like I do.
I also use another set up when I have a lot of entanglement. I use a 50# compression spring for a kill spring with a toothed camlock. All my snared I run 265lb BAD's on them but I lost 6-8 this year that opened up and I might try 280lb BAD's next year.
Here is one of my coil springs doing it's work.

I had a great day out today. Scouted new Property for next year. My plan is to double things next year and with some planning it should work out well.

Not sure how to answer that really. I have 2 basic lines. One by my house. Takes a few hrs to check those baits and a quarter tank of gas. Then my big line takes all day to check and 3/4 tank of gas.
Basically I can have a bait ever 5 to 8 miles apart and not catch the same coyotes I would think

Posted it a few posts earlier.

Looked at my odometer the other day and I think for the 4 months I am at either 12500 KM travelled or 14 000KM for the year including personal use. Some guys have been asking....

571 yotes......nube only pertains to your presence on the TM forums I take it.....holy crap man...

I'm not worthy! Very nice job

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Best Regards,

JT
