Thanks for the add to your group. I am not a trapper, but my dad was and I have his old muskrat traps. I am a lifelong hunter. I thought I would share pics of my Newhouse trap that has been in my family since the early 1900's. My great grandfather purchased this trap because he was having a problem with people stealing corn out of his corncrib. He set it and put out word around town that he had it hidden and the thief should beware. He never had anyone steal his corn anymore and thank God he never caught anyone in it. The trap is not for sale. It will be handed down to my son when I am gone. I just thought everyone would enjoy the story and some pics. It has all the teeth and you can see the green patina of the brass. It has the machine made springs. I a bunch of pics, but it looks like it will only let me post 5.

Great trap and nice story to go with it. I wouldn't part with it either.

nice story and it will be a good item to pass on. This trap will only go up in value.

When I was a kid my family would go every year to pick apples at a old homestead and my dad would cut paths after checking the ground in to the apple trees because the story was that the old man that used to live there had set bear traps to keep out trespassers before he died and the place went to the state

I always wanted to go back and go over the place with my metal detector just to see what I might find
