I've seen pics of chucks caught in western NY, and just above NYC.

I got excited when I saw what I thought was a chuck standing up in the grass off the interstate, but as I got closer, it was a red tail facing away from me.

Anybody seen one yet?

I'm psyched to pick up more than skunks.

I found a freshly killed one on the road today. It had been in the twenties during the day and teens at night for three days and got into the forties today.

Saw a couple dead in PA. last week. Then caught one on a skunk job yesterday, and when pulling up a second one ran under the neighbors porch in the snow. They both sure were big and healthy for just coming out of hibernation.

Got a call from a repeat customer and she said she saw one a couple days ago. Going out tomorrow as the temps are supposed to be in the mid 50's.

No snow, was 50 here yesterday. I worked in short sleeves. No chucks. I'm itching to start on them though!

Ground hogs are good eating. Taste like chicken or squirrel meat to me.

My 9 year old shot one last month near our barn while checking his traps, he set a couple box traps baited with apple slices and caught another one a week or to later. I think the 2nd one was 2 weeks ago. So yes we have.
