Biggest I ever seed was 70 as well. Guy called me and wanted me to tan it. I said bring it over, dubious about his claims of how big it was. Well...it was a monster...and I didn’t charge enough.

Biggest I got was an 86 pound female in the fall of the year.I imagine if it had been taken in the spring ,she would have been close to 100 pounds ,as she was raising 10 pups a year.
Biggest beaver ,many times do not have the largest castors.Depends how much castor they have been slinging.
Crote,your catch is a dandy.70 pounders take a long time to grow that large.
