Snagging season is about to start and I'll be catching a few paddlefish (spoonbill).
I want to make the absolute best product I can.

1. What parts of the fish should I use? Skins, redmeat, meat trimmings, heads?
2. Does it need to be rendered in glass jars or will black 7 gallon buckets with Gama-seals work?
3. I've got an old car the was wrecked that I can use as a "hot box"?
4.What is the proper proceed to use?
5. Can I smoke some of it on my Tragger and use the fish to make a batch of "smoked fish oil"
6. Would the eggs make good oil?

Make all you can, it's great stuff if made right. I'm sure you could sell or trade any extra you dont need. I can't find anyplace that sells it anymore. I've never made it but have tested it and used it in formulations.

I like those big gobs of fat in the abdomen of the males best.

Everything you trim off when you butcher them can go in the bucket.

this is from that belly fat.
