Whoa! Attacked by a beaver, they know who and what you are brother! Be careful man. I might get some more traps out soon myself. Nice pictures everyone...
Keep your boots dry and your powder too.
I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

So a beaver that size is what, a 2 year old? That's like the one I got back a page or two in this thread.
You're stacking them up minkless!

i'll flesh a bigger one tomorrow and check where i think hides are.might be done soon, might not. Now that's what I'm talking about. Late winter beaver gathering in an EXTREMELY beautiful place (last time I was out that way, like 2 years ago). I'm pretty partial to PA man. I can put in for vacation time and do just that. Have steel and other goodies, will travel for fur and community interaction. This has the potential to get fairly creative and quite interesting. Beaver camp in Potter County! I have an old friend that lives in Sinnemahoning. We trapped together (went to school together from 1st grade on) as kids. As I have said that's a fantastic place you folks have there pcr2. Purdy! With AWESOME trout fishing, anda whole lot more..... @washxc One of the castor mounds I made had that bearded beaver man lure on a stick and it was DEFINITELY visited by a beaver. It went around my trap but it wasn't shy about tearing up the mound. Stick with the lure on it was gone..

Good idea to have an annual field trip for trappers in your area-go out with everyone and make sets-everyone shows their own methods-then get together a few days later to go check all the sets. Then have a skinning workshop to put up all the fur a day or two later. A lot of fur councils here do that annually.Good on you for getting something similar going in your area PCR.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Yinz can show me how to use this Necker 600 properly.......I am getting the hang of it though.
Still it would be really cool to have a beaver rendezvous, I'll make new buckskins and all....
Any kid that is even slightly interested could be seriously introduced to the ways of the trappers.
I haven't fiddled with black powder and throwing axes in forever.......
Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

Nice catches minkless! Do you guys run these beaver traps and hold full time jobs down too?
Man you sure do catch some beavers. I think I need a 2 week "corola virus" break from work.......
Speaking of which I need to turn my vacation sheets in for 2020.
Thanks for adding pictures and sharing information guys.
Keep your boots dry and your powder too.
