I believe that was debunked. I'm not saying the libs won't take advantage of this roughpatch, they will. But the Ill thing was I think a reach and then a take back.

Just think how many more gun owners there are now than there were even 2 weeks ago. Surely some of which vote Democrat, that may now be seeing gun legislation in a different light. You sure are right. Folks that were anti or in the fence that I know are now seeing the wisdom of self protection and hunting.

You sure are right. Folks that were anti or in the fence that I know are now seeing the wisdom of self protection and hunting. This may be a blessing in disguise. People on the fence deciding to come over to the 2A side. Also opening up eyes to how hard it is to quickly get permits , training and passing background checks quickly in an emergency. Most places I know , it takes weeks or even months to jump through all the hurdles to legally possess firearms. That doesn't work too good when you need them in days or hours. If they fail to be able to obtain legal means to possess arms , and things get a little crazy , they will definitely come over to the 2A side once everything goes back to normal.

What makes you think anything will be normal again? Not likely.

Well, for all of you that think this is just a conspiracy theory or won't happen, as evidence, I present to you the history of Hurricane Katrina. They thought the 2nd meant something down there too.

No. We are not bringing Katrina in to this. What you posted has the potential to happen, but hasn't, thankfully!

It was a natural disaster and this has the potential (I doubt it myself) to be even larger. The government ignored constitutional rights of people during that crisis. Think they won't do it again?

Well I'm sure they might, but haven't yet at least in my neck of the woods. Why perpetuate non existing fear?

Well I'm sure they might, but haven't yet at least in my neck of the woods. Why perpetuate non existing fear? Not perpetuating fear. I'm just saying it could happen. I wouldn't say thinking of possible scenarios is perpetuating fear. It has happened in the past. It would be silly not to think it could happen again depending on how bad this becomes. After all, we are talking about politicians.

Air force sent me to jet engine mechanic school in Rantoul IL. Champaign-Urbana was right down the road. College town. I thoroughly enjoyed several weekends in that part of the world.
Il. requires a license to own a firearm that is state wide. They call it an I.D. but even crackheads know what it really is. If the government can convince people they need to be licensed to exorcise a right, why wouldn't they accept the nonsense that mayor is spouting?

Just think how many more gun owners there are now than there were even 2 weeks ago. Surely some of which vote Democrat, that may now be seeing gun legislation in a different light. Thats an interesting thought. This crazy rush on guns in the last week I would guess would be mostly new gun owners. I can't think of anyone I know that joined in on that rush as we already have what we need and can wait the madness out. I don't think anyone on here rushed out to buy a new gun either for the above reason. Now I don't think people buy a gun so they have something to hand over if one of the two nutcases should win. Soooo The Dems could be loosing some votes in the wake of this thing.

I think this mess is being used as a trial run and/or to draw attention away from something else.
Has anyone been keeping an eye on legislation that the scumbags may be trying to sneak through?
