I'm probably in a situation a bit different than many of you, which has me on edge. I have 5 people left in the world I care about and every single one of them is high risk for this disease. That has me snappy when I read stupid comments. Stuff like people saying the only sane people left are the ones going down to Florida for spring break to swap bodily fluids with strangers. At least a quarter those kids are probably being raised by Grandma, whom they'll head straight home to when they get back in town.

I'm not even saying not to joke about the outbreak, in fact I think joking about it is really healthy for everyone's mental state. It's when people are straight up saying that they will do things that can and will lead to infecting others and they don't care because "murica" that I get mad.

Snowflake; a derogatory slang term for a person, implying that they have an inflated sense of uniqueness, an unwarranted sense of entitlement, or are overly-emotional, easily offended, and unable to deal with opposing opinions.

Any post where someone has a different view from most seems to get commented on by the same member every time. Now I don’t mind that this person does this, just thought I would point it out haha.

It's a trying time for old folks. The thing they need the most now is visitation and interaction with other people. They're being isolated alone and away from other people. Even if they understand why, it doesn't make them feel any better.

The mortality rate this season for pneumonia and flu is at 7.1%, just below the pandemic threshold of 7.3%

Been saying that for weeks 200 dead people lose their minds 20,000 from the flu and no big deal. Either way the sun will come up tomorrow one way or another and I’m at a very high risk of lung problems so yes I have a dog in this fight me.

Let's talk corona virus, or better yet, covid 19. Fever to an acceptable level is the best defense the body has for killing off trespassing viruses or bacteria. Ibuprofen or any over the counter fever reducer would not be a good idea at the beginning if someone contracts the virus.

It has shined a light on some ironic things going on today I think is where the humor is coming from. Just look at the City folks that think we are savages for not living in them concrete boxes like they do but who’s acting like animals over TP and supplies today. Now that’s a hoot to me.

The wife went to the store today and came back with about everything on her list milk, flour, cookies, potato’s, sugar, coffee, cereal, meat and more. Just 1 of each (2 cookies for me) not 10 of everything just what we need for the next week or so.
