Thanks again everyone for the welcome. My oldest daughter, 3, enjoyed tagging along this year mostly for the ATV rides but I still have high Hope's for the future.

AJE that otter you posted had to be huge! I thought my first one was big but the second male I snapped made the first look small. Both are getting tanned of course. Expensive hobby at the moment.

Shoulders, bet he ate a pile of fish and rats.

I forgot to mention, just so I dont lead others astray, the warden did give me a scolding for not tagging the otter until I had them skinned. He was very professional and helpful about it though.

Yes, I couldn't believe the size of the otter. It was a good year. Glad it all worked out for you. Filling an otter tag is so rewarding. The 2nd was a bonus. I'm trading the 2 otters for a Lake Superior fishing trip out of Bayfield. The boat captain wants an otter hat, and it takes 2 otters for Bearfoot Fur to make the hat he wants. 'Gotta be creative in a down market. Keep up the great work! Glad you enjoyed it. Make sure you make it the state convention in Marshfield. You'll love it.

Also, consider taking the kids weasel trapping.
