I am purchasing some musk ketone, musk xylol and ambrette crystals and I was wanting some advice on how to tincture or dissolve them to use them. What solvent and how much per ounce of crystals to use.

DIETHYL PHTHALATE This is my favorite solvent for tincturing the many so called "white musks"-Musk Ambrette ,Musk Ketone, Musk Tibetine, etc. It is a really great solvent for dissolving most hard to dissolve materials. It has a slight odor but not enough to effect the finished product in any way.

Thank you! I will order it today. I have Trappers Guide to Using Essential Oils, Essences, Powders, and Crystals and it honestly doesn't really help at all.
