Several miles - the DNR did some surveys on the East Side of Green Bay. Fish were traveling from the Bay up the Fox to the East River and then traveling up all the creeks. The caught a lot in nets over by the Rite place and even some in Bower Creek by the truck stop off Hwy 172.

Here they will run several miles upstreams without a whole lot of water in them. I have seen ten pounders in streams that are knee deep and ten feet wide.

Ok just wondering because last fall I put a minnow trap in a creek on some Land I bought and caught 4 northern a about 10 inches long. The creek is about 5 ft wide and 6 inches to 2 feet deep. This creek comes from a large swamp basin and dumps into a trout stream about a mile away, and that trout stream runs into a bigger (2000) acre lake that is about 6 miles as a crow flys from the trout stream. Did the northern run up and spawn and I caught first year northern making there way to the lake? Also caught a few trout and a small blue gill

People want to catch pike? I do. They taste as good or better than walleye.

So does anyone think that’s what happened? I do think it could happen. They may not all go back to the big lake depending on the depth of the slough and creek.

I do. They taste as good or better than walleye. Me too. My family thinks so as well. They are more fun to catch too IMO.
