First thing I would do would be to drain the tank again, use air to blow from carb supply line into tank, then blow air through carb supply port, to be sure the passages are clear. I realize you said you did that already, but it isn't running correctly now, so it sounds as if there is still, too much bar oil in the system. If it idles upon being choked it is burning whatever mixture is in the system, but stalls when air is added, tells me it has a very rich oil mixture in the carb already. If it has had gas in it a couple days, of the correct mixture, it should have thinned the bar oil some by now and re-cleaning the system should probably clear out the excess oil. If the saw was running correctly before the bar oil was put in the tank, it shouldn't need a jet adjustment now. Also be careful blowing air into the carb with too much pressure. Some carbs have a pulse type diaphragm in the carb to pump fuel and you could puncture the diaphragm with too much air pressure, leaving the fuel pump inoperable. That may be why it only runs while choked now.

I've got a carb tore down right now it's over 40 yrs old. I could by a throw away foreign one that's junk for 15 bucks, I ordered a rebuild kit for 13 bucks. If the saw was running good before and you've drained and cleaned the tank and line, I'd just spray the carb real good with carb/brake cleaner. Make sure the gasket where the carb meets the motor is good and replace the filter, it should be ok from there.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

A cracked impulse line will cause this condition. I know you said it ran before but you disturbed it. Check entire fuel line too. Disclaimer- I have no experience with your model, and will now shut up lol. Rinse, repeat, you can win.

Pat, you mention a fuel inlet screen, is this in the carb body, a small circle. Will check that out. I have replaced the tank filter twice, but will check, as well as the impulse line .Anyone know if removing plastic plugs to get at fuel , adjustment screws, will damage carb. Walbro carb. Will try to get pictures , but not sure how to post them, from phone to this site.. Will have another go at it, likely something simple. Old243
