4th pic down from top-is that the house? If so you should be able to take them all out with some good blind sets in their travelways/channels.I would go with submerged bodygrips.

Those pictures with the of tufts of grass just scream for a 330. A little castor on the bank and you should be good to go. Keep the triggers under water. If you have some beaver sized foot holds you could set those same spots and target a front foot.

Good luck. I agree that there seems to be some good bodygrip opportunity.

“Want to avoid 330s cause of livestock and people ( kids)” Snares will work fine Wolfdog. Set up thier trails/pullouts six-seven inch loop two inches off ground back a couple feet from the water. I’m definitely NOT a beaver trapper but I did clean up the leftovers from a guy that was. The Boss would probably be happy to recommend a lure or two. I used one of his food lures but that was in late fall. Don’t know what lure would be best for this time of year.

Buy a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Write Property of Drifter on it in PBR red white and blue. Post a Picture. He prolly jump on his harley and be at your door in a hour or two. Tell him make sets first then beer> Watch what he does. Make sure he dont run out of beer.

Good Lord those notches are screaming set here.. The Beav is correct. I'd snare those notches with lure on the bank. Set em all , get it done and gone.. 8 inch loop 4 fingers high, stake em solid. They'll be waiting on the bank for your arrival.

330's, if the guy is serious about you getting the beavers out of there he will keep the kids out for a few days. If he's going to throw obstacles in your way tell him to get used to the beavers and don't do the job.

330's, if the guy is serious about you getting the beavers out of there he will keep the kids out for a few days. If he's going to throw obstacles in your way tell him to get used to the beavers and don't do the job. ^^THIS ! and here is how you respond, "Sir, it is imperative I get your full cooperation to help me help YOU. Without it, you are tying my hands, or maybe one hand behind my back, this includes keeping kids/family away, not only for safety, but also to let the beavers do their natural things." "without YOUR HELP, it will take longer, THUS BE MORE EXPENSIVE." that clump/island with the 2 gaps on either side is begging for a 330 BLENDED IN on BOTH SIDES and lure like BTO or sac oil on the back side. the lily pads and the trashy/woody areas are BEGGING for floats with 330's too.,,,use a castor mound on 1 and Pauls Woodchipper or just some skint maple or poplar sticking up from the holes in your platform, with a dab of almond or mint oils from the grocery store. make YOUR OWN SLIDES and set with lures on the leeward shore (so scent flows across pond) and blind with no lure on the windward (since the scent would flow up on land/shore...use footholds or snares at these places

Go get 'em! The sooner the better, as it gets warmer the beavs move less & the turtles move more. I will echo what was said above about the 330's & set heavy like your trying to catch them all in one night. probably a pair there. If I do recall you make & sell snares. If ya wanna go the snare route looks like you will need to bring some extra snare extension cable. Good luck! Yeh this us another reason I wanted to avoid conis. It's already been in the high 80's and I had actujust pulled from a turtle job before I came to this place and theirs alot if sliders in the pond from what I saw.

instead of lures above, if the lil bays to set like this are on WINDWARD shore, make a slide, slicked up with water and add a few skint pcs of sticks. Footholds would work great instead of 330s in the above sets too, after ya slow them down to walk Ok well I saw two places that looked good for that. I got some long chained duke 4's that I think would be good. Ok so another question here do y'all feel it's better to use lure when you first set up or before ? I've read alot of people have problems with lure in small bodies of water like this espically in the south for some reason. Like if you dont get them all in one go and you start out with lure the others seem to avoid it lured sets. Since I only have one beaver lure ( yes I know lol but never been much of a water trapper ) so I was thi king of just blind setting where their already coming three of those cuts are yet to getting fixed then redammed almost daily. So their already used to it so I can just break those up and set on them with no lure than I two o the replace I can set up similarly. Then I figured if I can get them like that in the fist three days I'll start the lured sets then if that dosent work I'll roll into night shooting. Also another thing I'm leaning more towards the snares because I've read so much about how never what have a coni or foothold snap off on em and not catch them, are so much harder to catch. Seems a snares dosent carry the same problem. Is that way over thinking this ? Really tryin to cover all the bases

You can catch a beaver in a snare any place you can with a 330. They work the same. The beaver has to go through them. Your snares will work fine. I think it is good you are trying to avoid the 330 with livestock and kids around.

Set your snares and catch some beaver. If that 4th picture is the house, you should be able to put a couple 330 in the runs. From what I'm seeing it is but due to the way the pond is you can only really get to it by boat. When I go set up Monday I'll try to find a way to it again though
