Anyone tried a $120 mud tire? Like crosswind or thundertrac or nexen?
Need new ones. I do not put a lot of miles per season on my truck.
I had federal couragia before but got a lot of worn tread between lugs(loud on road)

Purchased falken wild peak ats recently. Not a true mud tire, but aggressive tread and priced reasonable.Like them so far.

I run Nexen M/Ts I have for years and love them I just got a spare to match the other tires since I have that traction stuff on my truck, a 265-75-16 was almost $200 for 10 plys I have the 235-16 on my other truck they are around $150 but they work well off road.

Take a look at Goodyear Wrangler Authorities AT tires from Wal-Mart. Awesome tires and a great price.

i bought a set of those cavalrys that blak spot shows.
keep in mind those tires are directional, meaning you cant truely rotate them... unless you have a tire machine and feel like switchin wheels/tires everytime you rotate or want to go somewhere and pay for it.
i like them but thats a huge downfall... wont be buyin another set

Yep, directional tires are a pain to rotate.

These tires are awesome. Ride great and have awesome traction. I was a Good Year Wrangler guy for years and last year my local tire guy said he has put these on mail trucks and all the trucks on two big farms around here. I gave them a try and cant believe how much better the ride is in my 3/4 ton Excursion especially with how aggressive the tread looks. The white rock and gravel doesn't tear them up as bad as with my Wranglers.

Just rotate the tires front to back. No need to go side to side.

Those are the worst tire I ever owned. I wouldn't use them if they have them to me.

I have to agree. They used to be good tires but not any more imo. Last 2 sets I had needed a crazy amount of wheel weights. I asked about it and they said my rims were in bad shape. Got tha Faulkens and 1-2 wheel weights on same rims. And ride waaaaaaayyyyy better than the Wranglers.
