Last week a customer’s truck would not start. He opened the hood and right there was a groundhog chewing off wires. Had he not seen it and taken photos, the damage would have looked like vandalism by the way the wires were cut off. $2,800 repair bill. By using some wire scraps for bait I caught the offender the first day. A very recognizable groundhog - copper color, probably from chewing wires.

Before someone is led astray, no I did not use any bait. A trap at a nearby den in some bushes caught the offender. It really did have that dark coppery shading but not from chewing wire.

I finished a job two weeks ago for a dealership. They have the same problem.

I've got a storage unit place asked if we could handle rabbits chewing the wires under the RV's that were parking outside.
