American packers are shutting down plants to deliberately create a shortage at the store and put independent beef pork and chicken producers out of business. You really want to support that?

Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

I just ordered a steer from my neighbor with processing on May 19th, I did my part. Looks like Trump is ordering plants to stay open, not sure how I feel about that, but sounds like it's legal.

That's sort of the point here, there are no labels.

But it's also not as cut and dry as some lead you to believe.

I'm talking beyond just meat. Clothing and anything else that comes from China. Some packaged edibles such as fish, chicken, etc have labels. Aldis have some salmon. If you read enough of the label, I found they were raised in Chinese fish ponds. That's a horror story I watched on TV one night. Trust me, you don't want to eat their pond-raised salmon!

China and Brazil own huge percentages of USA meat processing so if you don't want to buy any meat from China you won't buy meat processed in their plants or from the USA feed lots where they own the cattle.

China should be given the boot and there is a myriad of reasons why.

Where we buy our steaks/meat , they purchase their meat from local Angus farms.

No one is talking about boycotting goods. We are talking about accurate labeling so that the American consumer can accurately choose what to eat. Additionally, foreign nations should not be allowed to own ANY companies involved with the food supply, infrastructure, medical care, etc. For example when you see beef in the store that says "product of the USA" its a lie. American beef might make up less than a 1/4 of that pound of burger, who knows. The rest is trash from South America, or Africa where the health standard are poor and they have foot and mouth disease which would devastate our herds here in the USA.

LOL I solved that problem .Ordered a beef from a local Amish butcher shop. Same one that process my deer.
Ok as for the price.
1100 lb beef They provide the beef , butcher it, package it. 1.49 lb !!!!!!!!

roughly 525 lbs of meat for 1,639 bucks. Comes out to 3.12 lb. For rib eyes ,burger and T-Bones . Nope I won't need that much meat so went in with 2 other guys.

LOL one big issue you are forgetting is THERE WILL BE ONLY ONE PACK of meat in the grocery so if you want it you better buy it no matter where it died.

As long as its country of origin is labeled I don't give a (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) what you buy. If you like eating trash that's your right.

And this.

Americans need to know, and they should purchase USA when they can afford it. We don’t make much of anything in this country, and we’ll lose it if we don’t support each other. IMO
